A Walking Tour of Millinocket Stream
We’re still in the park, although I certainly wouldn’t want to be walking barefoot. Even with hard soled shoes,
I’m making my way carefully amongst the jagged pieces of scrap metal, broken glass and ceramic debris. An oily
mess still lines the water edge.
Kermit Crandall Park looks nice enough when you’re driving by in the car, but once you leave the vehicle and approach the stream, it is clear that it is not a very pretty place.
A volunteer cleanup project would make the place look a lot nicer, but that wouldn’t take care of the oil, the foam, or whatever other contaminants might be in the water.
