A Walking Tour of Millinocket Stream

It’s fairly obvious that this piece of deteriorating metal wasn’t thrown into the stream yesterday. Most of what makes the stream such an ugly place to be consists of stuff that has been there for many years, perhaps almost as long as the town.

There’s no walking near the water without stepping into muck up to your ankles or beyond. Being the dedicated muck raker that I am, that is precisely what I did; but carefully.

Let’s move on, walking further north along the bank of the stream, still within the area of the park.
