Since we've decided to push on, cutting through rather than removing the siding, we've made our first opening.
Okay, it's a little larger now.
We have a rough opening. Now we're going to rough out the bottom framing.
It looks a little rougher from the outside, doesn't it? Oh, in case you're wondering, the problem with the siding around the larger window to the lower left is not as bad as it looks. Whenever that window was put in, they replaced the siding with cedar siding instead of the asbestos siding that was there, and the paint isn't holding up very well. I'll be replacing the cedar siding with something that more closely matches the rest of the house.
The bottom of the window sill is being put into place.
