Bible Reference Books / Bible Resources

I believe that the Bible was intended to be read and easily understood by anyone. For salvational matters, I'm sure this is true. The Scriptures were written on many different levels; however many times you might read a passage, there will always be some new truth to be gleaned from the Bible text.

God tells us to study the Scriptures, a direction that seems to go beyond a mere reading of the text; and for these purposes, there is great value in some of the resource literature, including Bible introductions, concordances, dictionaries, atlases, commentaries, books on hermeneutics, and Bible study. Be careful in your choices, and in how you use a Bible resource, to ensure that you are using them to enhance rather than to replace the Word of God.
