A Walking Tour of Millinocket Stream

I think I know where the fish went.

Nothing about this scene look healthy, and I strongly suspect that the worst parts of Millinocket Stream are not able to be caught on camera.

We’ve taken a few steps further north, and this part of the stream smells very bad.

I can understand that the town of Millinocket does not have the money to afford a clean up of Millinocket Stream. We could perhaps get volunteers, particulary with so many of our citizens out of work these days, but that would be only a cosmetic clean up; necessary, but inconclusive.

Who should be responsible for the real clean up of this waterway?
