A Walking Tour of Millinocket Stream

Sure makes you want to move to Millinocket, doesn’t it? If we’re not going to be able to depend on having a paper mill to attract people to our community, as it seems, we need to be able to give them another reason to be here.

When we decided to move to Maine, one of the reasons we chose Millinocket was it proximity to so many waterways. Surrounded by lakes and ponds, with a stream running through it, this was and can be a plus when it comes to people deciding to move here. Little did I know that the streams, the rivers, and perhaps the lakes, were toxic.
