Open Directory Project at ChefMoz.org

I’ll probably get some complaints about this title, and it’s true that ChefMoz is a whole ‘nother directory. Slower paced, relaxed, and friendly, ChefMoz is something that you truly can do in your spare time without worrying about being pushed out of the way.

Its purpose is different, too. ChefMoz seeks to list every restaurant in the world, although I don’t know that that’s its stated goal. The really cool thing about ChefMoz is that the restaurant doesn’t even need to have a website in order to have a listing in ChefMoz.

Would you like the restaurants in your town to have some exposure? Submit them to ChefMoz. Would you like to contribute to this effort more directly? Apply to be an editor. You won’t have to quit your day job.

How to Get There

• From the main page, navigate to the category representing the location you’d like to maintain; then
• Click on the Become an Editor link at the top of the page.
• Note that there are no Become an Editor links on top-level pages. Find a more specific location that you would like to start with, and apply to edit there.
• Submit a Restaurant
• From the main page, navigate to the category representing the location of the restaurant you’d like to add; then
• Click on the Add Restaurant link at the top of the page, and fill out the form, or as much of it as you would like.
• Submit a Restaurant Review
• From the main page, navigate to the category representing the location of the restaurant you’d like to review (or search for it from the search box); then
• Click on the link for the restaurant name and complete the review form.
• Please complete all form fields.
• Your name and email address will not be used unless you tell us to, by checking the box that indicates that you would like us to show your name and/or email address.
