25 Garnishes for Hamburger Patties

  1. Soften 4 tablespoons of butter and mix with 4 tablespoons of Heinz 57 Sauce or A-1 Steak Sauce.
  2. Chop 4 sweet-sour pickles very fine. Add 4 tablespoons mayonnaise and beat together.
  3. Thoroughly mix 2 tomatoes, chopped fine; ½ teaspoon sweet basil, and 3 tablespoons soft butter.
  4. Combine 4 ounces of packaged cream cheese with ¼ teaspoon each of thyme, oregano, and sage. Mix to a spreading consistency.
  5. Mix 4 tablespoons softened butter, 2 tablespoons grated onion, and 1 tablespoon mayonnaise.
  6. Combine 4 tablespoons softened butter with 4 tablespoons pine nuts, chopped very fine. Mix to a spreading consistency.
  7. Add 4 ounces feta (Greek) cheese to 4 tablespoons softened butter. Mix to a spreading consistency.
  8. Mix together ½ cup catsup, ¼ cup green pepper, chopped very fine, and 1 pimento, chopped very fine.
  9. Combine 4 ounces of cream cheese, 4 tablespoons Bleu cheese, and 1 tablespoon mayonnaise. Mix to a spreading consistency.
  10. Mash 1 medium-sized avocado, then add 1 tablespoon lemon juice and a dash of Tabasco sauce.
  11. Mash 1 medium-sized avocado, then add 2 tablespoons lime juice, ½ teaspoon grated lime rind, and a dash of cayenne.
  12. Add 1 tablespoon onion juice and 1 tablespoon lemon juice to ¾ cup Cheese Whiz, and whip to a spreading consistency.
  13. Mix ¾ cup French-fried onions, crumbled, to ¾ cup Cheese Whiz, and whip to a spreading consistency.
  14. Mix ¾ cup Cheese Whiz and 5 strips of bacon, fried crisp, broken into small pieces.
  15. Beat together 4 tablespoons softened butter, 1 tablespoon bead molasses, and 1 tablespoon soy sauce.
  16. Place ¼-inch thick slices of onions on burgers when nearly done, and brush 3-4 times with the following, all mixed together: 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon mustard, ½ teaspoon celery salt, ½ cup olive oil, and the juice of 1 large lemon.
  17. Mix 1 cup tart pie cherries, the juice of 1 lemon, 1 tablespoon sugar, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon ground cloves. Put into a saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes.
  18. In a jar, put 1 cup evaporated milk, ½ cup sugar, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 1 teaspoon Accent, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Shake all of these ingredients together in the jar, then put them in a saucepan and cook over low heat until thick.
  19. Blend ½ cup grated horseradish, 1 cup thick cream, 1 teaspoon sugar, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper.
  20. Melt ¾ cup Cheese Whiz in a double boiler. Add 1 small can mushroom stems and pieces, drained and chopped fine. Stir mushrooms and cheese together well.
  21. Mix 4 tablespoons soft butter, ½ teaspoon dill seed, and ½ teaspoon celery seed.
  22. In a jar, mix 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped very fine; 1 cup water; 2 beef bouillon cubes; 1 tablespoon flour; ½ teaspoon cider vinegar; and 1 egg yolk. Shake all of the ingredients together in the jar, then put it into a saucepan and cook over low heat until thickened. Add 1 tablespoon butter. Spread over burgers and serve immediately.
  23. Whip together: ½ cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of capers, crushed.
  24. Mix 1 cup fresh mushrooms, chopped very fine; ¼ cup Heinz-57 Sauce, and ¼ mayonnaise.
  25. Mix 1 small can of deviled ham; ¾ cup Virginia peanuts, chopped fine; ¼ cup sweet pickle relish; and ¾ cup mayonnaise.
