A Walking Tour of Millinocket Stream

Typical of Millinocket Stream, you can’t miss the oil that covers the surface of the water. I say oil, because it appears to be an oily substance; while in reality, I do not know the actual composition of this contaminant.

Between 1988 and 2000, according to the Toxic Release Inventory, Great Northern Paper Company discharged 8,452,335 pounds of production-related wastes into the water, with 8,325,885 pounds of it released since 1995, with the largest yearly discharge being in 2000.

Just some more icky, oily muck.
