A Walking Tour of Millinocket Stream

Okay, the thing with the spokes is sort of rustic and I wouldn’t mind having it in my rock garden, but as we look closer, we see the broken glass and stained sand that is so typical of Millinocket Stream.

It doesn’t look like anyone has ever cleaned this place up, and that’s both sad and unwise. Like it or not, Millinocket is no longer a mill town. We need to find other ways in which to attract people and business to our community, and I’m afraid that this doesn’t do the job.

How about a community cleanup project, using volunteer labor? It wouldn’t do anything to remove the contaminants from the water, but it would make the poison look prettier, and that’s a start.

Sort of a rustic thing with spokes.
