A Walking Tour of Millinocket Stream

As we begin walking south, we can see a little bit of the bubbly. The water is deeper here than it is north of the mill, and it’s running much faster. We’ve also had some rain during the past few days.

Water pollution is often classified into two categories: point source and nonpoint source pollution. Point source pollution is a single, identifiable source, such as a paper mill, that discharges pollutants into a waterway.
