A Walking Tour of Millinocket Stream

This view of Millinocket Stream, looking north from Central Street, concludes our tour of what could have been a beautiful waterway, probably was once, and may possibly be again.

I don’t know just how I want to end this. Anyone who knows me knows that I am anything but an environmentalist wacko, yet I am deeply offended by what I have seen today.

Millinocket Stream is sick; this is clear. What do we do about it? Do we leave it alone to heal itself, or should we nurse it back to health? What do you think?
