A Walking Tour of Millinocket Stream

I was hoping I could determine just what sort of container this was at the bottom of the stream. It’s a plastic five-gallon container, but I’m not sure what it held, or still holds. I don’t want to walk out there, or to put my whole arm in the water trying to retrieve it, so it shall remain a mystery.

These photographs indicate the mill does not hold sole responsibility for the current conditions of the stream. It appears to have been a common dumping ground.
