The following photographs were taken from within the city limits of Edcouch, Texas in January, February, and March of 2001 -- displayed in no particular order.
Bell Park is located on W Adkins and Industrial. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone in the park but you can’t say we don’t have one. Actually, we have two - as you’ll see later on this page.
The downtown district ain’t what it used to be. This is a scene along N Llano Grande Blvd, also known as FM-1015.
The Delta State Bank building, on N Hill and Southern, has been closed for several years, the inside gutted by fire.
Edcouch does still have a bank, though. The Elsa State Bank has a branch in Edcouch.
A well manicured lawn, found on N Industrial and Pacific.
The Victor E. Leggett Municipal Park features a basketball court and a swimming pool. This one gets used a lot.
Located at Industrial and Southern, this once was a watermelon packing shed. Later it served as Off the Coast, a manufacturer of wicker furniture. It has long been vacant.
